UNC Students Make Waves in Ocean Conservation

Huge congratulations to Gerona Claveria (CEA), Christian Reganit (CEA), and April Joy Falabi (CED) for making it to the TOP 30 Qualifiers for the first-ever Sustainable Ocean Alliance (SOA) Philippines Ocean Protection Caravan!

These outstanding UNCeans left a lasting impression through paper screenings and interviews, earning a spot among 30 delegates for this intensive leadership training and capacity-building program focusing on protecting our precious oceans.

From online sessions with expert mentors last January 16 to 23, 2024 to hands-on workshops at Lola Sayong Eco-Sur Farm in Sorsogon last January 26 to 28, 2024, they gained valuable knowledge and skills to become effective advocates for ocean conservation.

We’re incredibly proud of Gerona, Christian, and April Joy for representing UNC with such passion and dedication! They are shining examples of the Red and Grey spirit in action, making a real difference for our planet.
